W. Diane Van Zwol
W. Diane Van Zwol was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario (Canada). She attended Selkirk, Collegiate and Vocational Institute. In 1967, she graduated from St. Joseph's General Hospital School of Nursing, as a Registered Nurse. She has worked in many different areas of nursing, in south eastern and northwestern Ontario. Diane has also taught LPNs in a college in British Columbia. In 1982, Diane received a Counseling Certificate from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario and in 1990, a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Religious Studies, from McMaster University. In 1997, she completed a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy, at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. She also obtained an Advanced Learner Teaching Certificate. Currently, Diane is working as a freelance writer, publishing articles on nursing, counseling and poetry, as well as on many other topics of interest. She enjoys writing love poetry, in conjunction with artwork and photography. She also writes children's stories and enjoys cycling. "I believe that life is meant to lived to its fullest. When one awakens to the full realm of nature, its beauty is revealed."
